Janet Mrutu

Janet Mrutu serves as the Chief Finance & Commercial Officer at UBX (T) Ltd, formerly Business Connexion (T) Ltd (BCX), providing leadership in all aspects of the company’s financial operations and treasury functions. Her journey with UBX began in 2010 as a Senior Accountant, followed by a promotion to Finance Manager in 2013, and to her current role in 2016. Before joining UBX, Janet worked at the National Bank of Commerce (NBC).

Her achievements include developing a robust tax compliance practice within the organisation, meticulous record-keeping, strict adherence to laws and regulations, and effective financial management — producing clean financial reports that have earned the confidence of the market, regulators and industry standard setters, including the BOT and TCRA. UBX takes pride in being a large taxpayer, maintaining compliance with tax regulations.
